The reliability of the systems that support the data and processes we depend upon is crucial. We see this in a wide range of sectors where we are engaged to assist clients with the design of physical infrastructure systems, and the maintenance of these systems so that they are not ever faced with the prospect of unplanned downtime.

Our Story

In 2002, the founder of Potencia Technologies, Jeff Cherry, could see there was a need for knowledgable professionals to assist business stakeholders in the development of the physical infrastructure upon which their businesses depended. Things like power and cooling don’t seem all that interesting to the average person but to a facility manager they are the lifeblood that is required so that computer rooms, networking closets, production areas, etc. can function to peak levels of availability. Potencia started out as vendors of small single phase and three phase UPS solutions to help clients protect their critical business systems. In time the range of offerings grew to include power distribution, power conditioning, power monitoring and management, cooling, enclosures, environmental monitoring solutions and more. Being committed to helping customers with the support of the customer through the lifecycle of the equipment we supplied helped Jeff to see there was a real need to assist clients with the ongoing maintenance that needed to be implemented to ensure the reliability of their UPSs, cooling systems, etc. Our portfolio of service support offerings grew as relationships were built with different equipment manufacturers. It is the strength of these relationships with our OEM partners that is the bedrock of a service portfolio that supports public and private sector clients from one end of our country to the other. It is our commitment to customer service that has seen Potencia grow over the years, and build new relationships as we continue to depend data and systems for our day to day lives.
